25 Powdered Peanut Butter Recipes
Powdered peanut butter has been a game changer in my life! I’m a peanut superfan and feed my family every form of peanuts including peanut butter and shelled and unshelled peanuts. I especially treasure powdered peanut butter for its amazing culinary versatility, with a high protein and lower calorie content than nut butter. How low you ask? The brand I regularly use contains 50 calories per 2 Tablespoons with 6 grams of plant-based protein vs. 190-200 calories and 7g protein per 2 Tablespoons of traditional peanut butter. Wow!
Just in case you are not familiar, powdered peanut butter is made by pressing the oil out of roasted peanuts and grinding the rest into a powder with about an 85% reduction in fat content. For those who love peanut flavor and are trying to cut calories, this is a lifesaver. It’s fantastic added to smoothies and smoothie bowls, oatmeal, yogurt, cottage cheese, soups, salad dressings, marinades and more. It’s especially helpful for those who have undergone bariatric surgery to boost the protein content of meals and snacks with few calories.
Take note that there are MANY brands of powdered PB (or peanut flour), some with added sugar and sodium, some without. Several brands even make flavored varieties like chocolate, vanilla, chia and more. I usually prefer to start with a brand that doesn’t include anything except peanuts. It’s easier to add sugar/sweetener or sodium to recipes, so starting plain is my method.

I JUST discovered powdered peanut butter! Can’t wait to check some of these out. Thanks for gathering so many recipes in one place!
When I make a chocolate cake, I substitute 1/2 of the coco powder with peanut powder.
what a great round-up. I was recently talking with a client about using PB powder in recipes other than smoothies & now I know what to make!
I need to use powdered PB more. I have used it on occasion, but not nearly enough! Great ideas here.
I agree! It’s a staple for me 🙂
