Vegan Ginger Peach Smoothie
Protein. It seems that there is a new study or news article focusing on protein almost every day. When thinking about protein, I find people usually conjure up images of burgers, chicken, deli meats, eggs and maybe dairy. Yet, there are many wonderful plant-based protein rich foods that are friendly to our bodies and the planet. Meatless Monday has become a well known campaign to include more recipes featuring plant based foods in our weekly menus. Why not try Silk Soymilk as an easy and delicious way to start adding more plants to your diet? No other leading dairy-free milk brand gives you more protein per serving. Silk original soymilk provides 8 grams of heart-healthy, plant-powered protein in one cup with a smooth, delcious taste. And, because Silk is plant-based, it’s naturally low in saturated fat and has no cholesterol (Cholesterol is only found in animal derived foods).
This Vegan Ginger Peach Smoothie contains nearly 18 grams of plant powered protein with only 227 calories. Benefit from a satisfying breakfast to keep your energy levels up all morning. Enjoy it with fresh peaches in the summer or frozen in the winter.
