The 2015 Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend increasing intake of nutrient-dense foods, such as fat-free or low-fat dairy products, like yogurt. Yogurt is nutrient-dense and many yogurts often are a good source of protein, calcium and Vitamin D. I’m a lifelong yogurt fan and have enjoyed Dannon Light & Fit for many years. I especially love the Greek varieties for the awesome amount of protein they provide for a modest amount of calories and added sugars. Since I work from home most days, I don’t need to pack a lunch, but I usually plan on including a yogurt as part of my midday meal. Often it’s accompanied by a salad or sandwich and the sweetness it provides is a perfect finish to a meal.
