As the owner of a pool, I have the pleasure of frequent entertaining during the summer months in NJ. Last week, my daughter invited her dance team over for an end of the school year swim party. Turns out one of her teammates must eat gluten free. It’s so easy to create a gluten free menu for kids! Here’s a look at what I served and everything was a big hit…
Gluten free pool party menu:
Skinny Pop popcorn (gluten free and non-GMO)
Popcorners Kettle Corn flavor
Carrots/cucumbers/peppers with edamame hummus
Crunchmaster crackers (gluten free and non-GMO)
Welch’s ice pops (100% juice)
Fruit platter
Honest Kids drink pouches (organic)
Water bottles
For additional items consider:
-homemade trail mix with nuts, pumpkin/sunflower seeds, dried fruit and gluten free cereals such as Nature’s Path EnviroKidz (my kids love Peanut Butter Panda Puffs and Leapin Lemurs) or Barbara’s Bakery Multigrain Puffins.
– frozen bananas dipped in melted gluten free chocolate chips, rolled in chopped nuts (optional)
– cheese sticks
– tortilla chips with salsa and guacamole
There are so many possibilities available to keep your gluten free guests happy and safe, while allowing everyone to enjoy tasty treats.
