Add this festive, beautiful, creative Frozen Cranberry Spice Cocktail (or Mocktail!) to your holiday celebrations!
I have partnered with Dannon to help promote Light & Fit. I have been compensated for my time, as always, all opinions are my own.
It’s that time of year! Fall and winter holidays are quickly approaching, and the supermarket is bursting with beautiful fall produce including gorgeous cranberries, pomegranates, apples and fall squash. In the spirit of innovation, Dannon Light & Fit challenged me to “Reimagine Yogurt” which gave me the perfect excuse to combine the splendor of fall with delicious, nutritious yogurt.
Let’s admit, holiday time can create extra stress in our already busy lives. For those who like to imbibe with a cocktail or glass of wine, why not pump up the nutritional value of your adult beverage with my Frozen Cranberry Spice Cocktail? Get a little creative with yogurt and enjoy this tasty creation as part of your holiday table.
The 2015 Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend increasing intake of nutrient-dense foods, such as fat-free or low-fat dairy products, like yogurt. Many yogurts are a good source of protein, calcium and Vitamin D. Good news for us, Light & Fit Greek Nonfat Yogurt with Zero Artificial Sweeteners contains 90 calories, 13 grams of protein and 3 grams of fiber per 5.3 oz serving.
Yogurt is a staple in my house and anyone who follows my blog sees it pop up often in my recipes. As the author of The Protein-Packed Breakfast Club, I include yogurt as a great source of protein often. But, yogurt isn’t just for breakfast or snacks, it’s a great culinary tool as well to add creaminess and flavor to all sorts of dishes like dips, dressings, casseroles, marinades, soups, and desserts. So, why not cocktails or mocktails?
While many holiday drinks are filled with added sugars and syrups, this refreshing Frozen Cranberry Spice Cocktail is made with 100% juice, real whole cranberries and yogurt to provide a delicious treat to your celebrations for 150 calories.
I wish everyone a very healthy and happy holiday season. Cheers!
